#Ubuntu10Year: 2020

2020 may have been last year, but in some senses it feels like a lifetime ago!  The new world challenge of COVID made 2020 a year of adaptation and creative problem solving.  Though definitely a difficult year, there are still a lot of special moments worth mentioning.  Since it was so recent, we’re presenting you with our top 5 story picks from 2020! You can read more about them in the 2020 Ubuntu Magazine

1. Get a sense of what life was like under lockdown for Ubuntu by checking out our Lockdown Timeline and watching our Ubuntu At Home videos!

2. Our House dad, Tertius, came up with a creative way to pass the time and engage the boys living at the Ubuntu House. Read about the Ludo Super Cup!

3. Bokang got to meet and interview a living legend: South African national rugby captain Siya Kolisi himself! Learn more about his experience here.

4. Martha, one of our new teachers, shared her story and how she ended up at Ubuntu. Check it out on page 28 of the Magazine.

5. Sinethemba, one of our grads from 2015, started his own shoe cleaning business called Sneh Snkrwash.

2020 was an eventful year, even if it looked different. We hope you enjoyed a glimpse of what ours looked like!
